The Guarantor of the Deer or Ḍāmin-i Āhū is a title of #Imam_al-Rida (a) rooted in a popular story among Shiite folks. According to this story, Imam al-Rida (a) guaranteed a deer that was trapped by a hunter. Imam al-Rida (a) allegedly guaranteed that the deer would go and breastfeed her fawns and then return. There is no such a story in sources of hadith with regard to Imam al-Rida (a); however, similar stories are narrated about Prophet Muhammad (s) and some other Imams (a). However, it is only Imam al-Rida (a) who came to be known by people as the Guarantor of the Deer. In areas such as Iran and the Indian Subcontinent, Imam al-Rida (a) is known as al-Imam al-Ḍāmin (Arabic:الإمام الضامن) and the Guarantor of the Deer. The well-known story of guaranteeing a deer by Imam al-Rida (a) seems to be a combination of some different stories and hadiths, since in some sources, there are accounts of a deer taking refuge to the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Rida (a). #hadith
#Prophet_Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) exhorted Muslims to show #kindness and #compassion towards #animals and birds, and repeatedly forbade cruelty towards animals. He has said: "A good deed done to an #animal is like a good deed done to a #human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as cruelty to a human being"
Where are you O Wild #Deer?
I have known you for a while, here.
Both loners, both lost, both forsaken
The wild beast, for ambush, have all waken
Let us inquire of each other's state
If we can, each other's wishes consummate
I can see this chaotic field
Joy and peace sometimes won't yield
O friends, tell me who braves the danger
To befriend the forsaken, behold the stranger
Unless blessed #Elias may come one day

"الا ای آهوی وحشی کجایی
مرا با توست چندین آشنایی
دو تنها و دو سرگردان دو بیکس
دد و دامت کمین از پیش و از پس
بیا تا حال یکدیگر بدانیم
مراد هم بجوییم ار توانیم"
