When I was a kid, long before I had any concept that movement could be learnt, codified by names, systemised into different forms, I would shout at Dad to put music on so I could dance. A visceral consciousness that movement felt good, an instinctual communication with myself that required no thought or explanation just the purity of awareness. We all have that primitive instinct to move and feel - but often it gets lost, we inhibit ourselves, lose touch with that inner spark of connection. I’m really interested in that instinctual and unique ability we all have to move freely, like we did as kids.
On June 16th come and play with me @goodvibesstudios 10-12am for a movement workshop - we’ll explore sequences of movement to deepen our awareness of how we move, why it feels good, letting our own instincts guide us back to embodiment through freedom of movement.
