Well if it isn’t the god of destruction himself, Ciar! Y’know I’ve come to really like him as a villain. Like, he turned out to be a good villain, one that I’m starting to love to hate.
So I’ve worked out how his being absolutely head over heels in love with Amaya Finnick can fit into canon. Basically, he’s still evil. Still does everything he does. But. Amaya has a sort of twisted mind and thinks it’s great. If you’ve ever seen that one tumblr post (I see it all the time on Pinterest) about wanting villains that love w/o being converted to good, the one with bowling with their enemies’ skulls with their best friend, it’s like that. I supposed you could call them both anti-villains: people who do bad things for what the believe to be a good reason, but is actually really messed up. That definition makes sense for them bc Ciar does all his murder and stuff bc he thinks destruction is a good thing and that there needs to be more of it, and believes that Shadows are the supreme beings/better everything else. It works out.
