We went to Big Sur so you don’t have to. We decided to take this road trip down Hwy 1 from Montara after reading a NY Times article touting Big Sur as open for business despite the recent fires and mudslides. We found the coast to be beautiful as always, with the early fog rising by mid afternoon. However, Big Sur activities are extremely limited right now.
