This @justacard#JACindiefriday I would like to give a massive shout out to the enormously talented and incredibly lovely @emmalouisecorry. Emma makes the most gorgeous textile pictures and decorations and she is hugely supportive of Tiny Gallery. I currently have some of Emma's absolutely wonderful Christmas decorations in at Tiny Gallery and they are selling fast :) They are even more incredible and sparkly in person so come and pick your favourite in store! Happy Indie Friday to all the makers, galleries and supportive customers. 😘 . . .
It is the holy mother of all sale days, Black Friday. So instead of my usual Friday feel-good post, I thought I would post a slightly different one.
Last week in the Studio newsletter I posted about my Grandfathers coat, which I rediscovered when I was home last winter. My Mom found it in her attic and knowing my love of it, gave it to me. It has made its way back to England where it is used to thwart off rain more than snow.
This coat has got to be over 70 years old and man, it was built to last. It reminded me of how far removed we have become when it comes to buying things. We don't really have an expectation that they will last nor that we will hold on to them for generations.
