I've wanted to make authentic maamoul for such a long time.
There's so many different recipes out there and some I've tried just haven't been what I had tasted.. so after watching @nigelslater making these on his recent amazing program I decided to have another go.
These are made with Semolina, butter, sugar, mastic, mahleb and orange blossom water. Filled with Almond, Walnut, Apricot, Honey and Rose.
Completely got the oven temp wrong and they are just a little too dark.
Totally delicious though. So pleased.
