My old right lung. I took a disposable camera into the OR and my surgeon was prepared to deal with my crazy ass wanting pictures during surgery. They could not take a picture of my left lung. They weren't given any choice but to scrape it out because it was stuck to the back of my ribs. Those lungs gave me a hell of a ride but they gave me 21 years of life. That was more than any doctor believed I could go. Emotions filled my body when I saw these photos for the first time. Blessed and grateful for each step I took with my old lungs. They held on for so long.
You can take the boy out of the country but u can't take the country out of the boy ············· We escaped to my hometown this past weekend to go to the annual bootheel rodeo! The country is a little slow paced for me these days but it's always nice to go back and visit. If u guys haven't been to a rodeo I would suggest going sometime. Something different and a lot of fun! @chrisyoungmusic is my favorite singer and I think he put on a better show here than he did just a few weeks ago in St. Louis! ············· #CysticFibrosis#MindOverMatter#country#bootheel#rodeo#kickTheDustUp
