Hi all--I wrote an Open Letter to my Nipples for @lunalunamag (thank you to editor @lisamariebasile who totally gets my project/s), up on their homepage(!) right now, and for Enough/Enough anthology, a project by @oklexiebean where trans and nonbinary survivors write letters to their body parts as part of the reclaiming/healing process. Enough/Enough was the original impetus for writing this piece and I couldn't be more thankful. I had no idea how much would pour out of me once I opened that survivor door to see what I had stuffed behind it.
A selection of letters will be published in the Enough/Enough anthology this winter or spring with Jessica Kingsley Publishers. If you fit the description and would like to submit a letter, there's still time! Deadline is August 1st, and you can PM me for info. (There's a little wiggle room on the deadline if you need it.) On a more personal note, please read this letter. This is a coming out letter, a survival letter, and a reclaiming letter, of my gender, my sexuality, and my survival under capitalist patriarchy. I put all of my sensitivity and secrets here. If you want to really know me better, read this letter. I want to be known better. I want to be knowable, and legible, to strangers and friends alike. Please read.
Final note: content letter in the warning for sexually explicit imagery, sexual assault, and child sexuality.
