Saturday night - what are you drinking? Red, white or pink! 🥤
Energy drinks get a lot of bad rep but they really are a great booster if you’re doing a lot of training. It’s a lot like food - it just depends how much you have.
Energy drinks are a great caffeine boost pre or post workout, but they also offer a lot of other great benefits. They contain extra supplements needed for energy such as taurine, ginseng and B vitamins, promote fast recovery - particularly those full sugar energy drinks full of carbs - come in so many different flavours and variations and, unlike many coffees and teas, contain a standardised amount of caffeine so you know EXACTLY how much you’re putting in to your body. Coffee is a great caffeine hit for those who like it, but I’m not a huge fan and energy drinks tend to give you that hit faster because you don’t have to wait for them to cool!
Fun fact for all those who say energy drinks are dangerous - there’s actually DOUBLE the amount of caffeine in a Starbucks venti (medium) coffee than in a full sugar can of monster, and more than SIX TIMES the caffeine than is in this bottle of lucozade. What you really need to be aware of is the Sugar content...but we’ll discuss that another time! For now I’ll say cheers to you all on this sunny Saturday eve ☀️ 🥂 #PT #PTlife #aw2wellness #wellness #affordablefitness #health #fitness #healthylifestyles #energydrink #lucozade #coffee #caffeine #caffeinehit #energyboost #mobilePT #homebased #gymbased #eastboldon #boldon #cleadon #southtyneside #newcastle
