Lucas Grogan’s (b. 1984) practice spans multiple disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture and embroidery. Working through an autobiographic lens, he explores themes such as identity, sexuality, shared humanity, spiritual divorce and isolationism, using techniques both traditional and radical to develop psycho-spiritual drawing, painting and needlework that is at once attractive and off-putting.
