LOW-CARB FLATBREAD PIZZA 🍕 🍕🍕
First time recipe testing! Pizza cravings turned macro-friendly experiment 👩🏼🔬 Worked pretty well but will probably have some minor adjustments to toppings in the future! .
🔺Preheat oven to 350.
🔺Lay out 1/2 a Joseph's lavash bread (available at Walmart). Spread 1/8c of Classico pizza sauce (or whatever brand you prefer, just know the macros would be different) onto the lavash.
🔺Add desired toppings! I used the turkey pepperoni from Hormel on one half and buffalo Chicken (I know, it's everywhere) on the other but veggies are always a good option or other lean meats. I plan to try a BBQ chicken in the future!
🔺Top with cheese! I used 1/3c of Kroger part-skim mozzarella for both, total. You could get really low fat and use fat free cheese but I'm not a fan of that 🙅🏼
🔺Bake for 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you want the crust. Mine was a little soft in the center at 10 mins so I just folded them in half to eat.
🔸MACROS: 12.8C/12.7F/26.2P -- 257 cals 🍕🍕🍕(I did macros for 1/2 lavash with the sauce, cheese and 30g turkey pepperoni because I know not everyone will have the buffalo chicken. DM me if you want macros using that. Recipe in Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese post!
🔸Ok, it's not like your local pizza joint treasure but it's a tasty low-cal, low-carb alternative to fight the cravings! 😉
🔸TIP: Use Kernals Popcorn Seasonings (yes, popcorn aisle) to add no cal flavor! I used ranch on the buffalo chicken side and Parmesan garlic on the pepperoni side👌🏼👌🏼
