Short story: I remember the very 1st week I tried this workout, it was impossible, I could barely lift my legs an inch & my shoulders hurt. I felt a little bad & like the most unfit person in the gym (which I probably was😉) & spoke to my instructor who encouraged me to keep attempting it & sometimes watched me try, besides I needed it & still do(in my opinion) & I like this equipment......Now, almost 6 months later, I'm totally loving it & challenging myself with more reps & my legs are actually going up🙌. #motivation# .

Lower Abs Support and Contraction. I use my body to see where is best to identify the muscles more. My deep muscles TA can feel this action (mind and muscle) more for me atm until I build them up again. peanut chicken lettuce wraps with ginger garlic sauce

INGREDIENTS
For the Sauce
• 4 tablespoons soy sauce
• 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
• 3 tablespoons water
• 1 tablespoon sambal oelek (chili paste)
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (I use a paste)
• juice of 2 limes
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 4 green onions, minced
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional - makes it more tangy)
• 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional - helps the sauce thicken)

For the Lettuce Wraps
• 2 tablespoons sesame oil
• 1 lb. ground chicken or turkey
• ½ cup lightly salted peanuts, chopped
• 6 ounces rice noodles
• 12 leaves of lettuce (I used Boston lettuce)
• chopped cilantro, green onions, and peanuts for topping

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Whisk all the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour about ¾ of the sauce into a bowl with the ground chicken & peanuts. Stir to combine - marinate for 15 minutes.
2. Soak the rice noodles in a large bowl of water while the meat is marinating. When the noodles are softened, drain and rinse with cold water. Cut into small pieces.
3. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the meat & peanut mixture & sauté for 10 minutes or until cooked through. Add the noodles & stir-fry for another 5 minutes or until soft, adding a splash of water, oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, or lime juice to moisten the pan as you see fit.
4. Remove from heat, scoop mixture into lettuce leaves, top with green onions, cilantro, peanuts, & the reserved sauce.

The quest for the return of the abs 💪🏽 Excuse the silence in the video😂
Quiet gym, so testing out a few new ab exercises for my classes (which is also super important for me to train so I can regain what I had now I’ve quit the winter bulking game, because I can’t hack the loss of gains to my stomach, damn carbs!) and I love to throw new things in each week to keep things exciting for everyone! ⭐️ That leg shape though 😍⭐️ Today I split up the abdominal regions in to upper, middle and lower and concentrated on exercises for each section.
Upper abs:
5x20reps cable crunch
5x20reps sprinter sit ups
3x10reps DB crunch
Middle abs:
3x10reps DB sit up and press
3x10reps V-ups
Lower abs:
3x10reps DB front squat
3x20reps bicycle crunches
And of course not forgetting the obliques I chucked in... 5x20reps Med ball Russian twists.
Abs popped out of hiding and stomach is feeling harder and flatter! Watching what I eat again now, little meals more often.

Baked Pears with Honey, Cranberries and Pecans

Ingredients • 4 pears, such as bosc, bartlett or anjou • 24 fresh cranberries • 4 tbps chopped pecans • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, plus more, if needed • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, plus more, if needed. • 4 tsp raw honey • Greek yogurt for pairing, if desired

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

2. Halve the pears and then core. I cored the pears with a cookie scoop but you can use a melon baller, too. Slice a small part off of the backside of each pear half to create a flat surface so the pear sits flat when laid on the pan.

3. Place the pear halves on a large baking sheet or baking pan, cored side up. Place three cranberries into the cored part of each pear half. Sprinkle each pear half with about ½ tbsp of the pecans and then sprinkle each pear half with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Drizzle each pear half with ½ tsp of honey. I did this by squeezing honey into a ½ tsp measuring spoon & then drizzling over each pear half.

4 Bake at 375 for 25-30 min. or until the pears are tender.
