I am now 4 weeks into my contest prep and training is really starting to pick up.
This new 4 week training program still follows my preference for a hybrid style of workout. .
What does that mean? Many of you have been asking! .
Basically this block includes a strength component where I have the opportunity at the beginning of my workout to hit my compound lifts and go heavy for lower reps 3-6 which helps maintain my strength.
The second part of the workout includes my accessory movements where I focus on my smaller muscle groups. The rep ranges are typically higher to accommodate hypertrophy ie 8-12.
