Qué amo... leer, bailar, hacer yoga, apoyar los sueños de mis alumnas, disfrutar de una comida deliciosa, escuchar a mis hijas, dormir, los abrazos de mi esposo y tantas cosas más que parecen pequeñas o comunes pero en realidad lo son todo. ✨
Para lograr mantenerte en este estado #mindfulness es el secreto. Vivir aqui y ahora, con intención. Escucha y observa lo que piensas y te dices, ahi esta la clave, eso es lo que no te deja disfrutar de lo que esta pasándote en este instante.
Cuando logras dejar de juzgarte o proyectarte siempre al futuro, empiezas a vivir la vida como realmente quieres vivirla. Yo creía que era cuento, pero ahora vivo cada vez más momentos así.

A non-scale victory!! 🎉

That damn scale can be a bittersweet thing. Mine has been collecting dust the last few weeks because I was getting obsessed with the number.
But today, for the first time in months, I didn't need to use my bra extender. I can't tell you how excited I was!😁 I'm sharing this because as a society we can get stuck on that number looking up at us. When that happens we easily overlook other signs that what we are doing is working.
No more bra extenders.
I don't hate my reflection.
My clothes are feeling a little big.
I'm exercising and eating according to my goals.
That's all I care about right now because I can tell the baby weight is coming off, I don't need a scale to tell me that!

Let's talk about fad diets for a sec ✨

As you know, I'm not a fan of fad diets or anything that is unsustainable 🙅🏽 I know just how alluring fad diets are - the promise of quick weight loss, the amazing transformation photos, the confidence! But just ask yourself - is it worth it? Is that quick boost of temporary weight loss worth it? What happens when you gain the weight again? Are you willing to be stuck on a cycle of continuous weight fluctuations? I'm guessing the answer is no.

Find something that works for you and that you can make into a LIFESTYLE. I'm so grateful over the years to have learned about sustainable fitness and nutrition programs like @annavictoria's @bodyloveapp and the @f_factor . And I love the option of going to workout studios to switch things up if I ever do get into a rut. That's what works for me. Tell me, what works FOR YOU?

✨When I first decided to start working out again for the first time in years, I had no idea that it would become something I would learn to enjoy, and absolutely no idea that I would fall so in love with it that I would eventually become a personal trainer. I thought people that worked out for “fun” were crazy, and my favourite exercise was lifting chicken fingers from my plate and into my mouth. But, I decided to try anyway. I wasn't excited about it, I wasn't very motivated, but I made the decision to try. And that decision to try, to my surprise, changed my life.

✨You don't have to wait for the “perfect” moment to start. You don’t need to wait for a new week, new month, or new year. You don't need to wait until you feel intensely motivated. You just need to make the conscious decision to try. You may be surprised by how far that decision will take you.

I’m the kind of person who gains all my weight in my stomach and when I lose weight I lose it all in my boobs first. How is that fair?! 😩

I guess I’m an apple shape- which means I have to work really hard to have a flat stomach. One thing that has been key is... as everyone says... consistency. I’ve always been a dabbler before— a little bit of exercise here and there, a little bit of healthy eating here and there. But that’s not going to get you the results that you want.

You’re not going to gain weight by eating one bad meal, but you’re also not going to lose weight by eating one good meal. It takes time, patience, consistency in eating healthy AND working out... if you do all of these you will accomplish your goals. 🤗💪🏼

This is a little bit of a different transformation and it’s honestly hard for me to wrap my head around sometimes. 💕 In 2016 I was a year into my fitness life and I’d lost a good 20 pounds and was finally feeling “skinny” which at the time is what I wanted. 💪🏼 Fast forward 2018 I’ve put back on 12 of those pounds, in mostly muscle which shows because my measurements are smaller than when I was my “skinniest”. But I weigh more!
As someone who’s goal for most of my life was to be thin and weigh 120, seeing the scale back at basically where I started when I was overweight and unhealthy is still crazy to me. Tracking progress with photos has really helped me to see why the scale is not a marker for any kind of progress. 💁🏼‍♀️ I wish I had taken more measurements when I started and I’m going to continue to take measurement and photos because those are the only true way to measure fitness progress! 👊🏼 #screwthescale

Time for some realness. I have the @londonmarathon looming in the future and I can’t help but feel anxious as I haven’t been able to get out and train for over a week. As you may have seen we got a little pup and most of my time has been taken up caring for him and getting him settled in. But as I always say to everyone else, don’t feel guilty about your choices. I have chosen to put my puppy first this week and that is ok 🐶

Your mindset!!!! Getting a handle on your mindset is what leads to long-lasting results. "I don't like vegetables"

people often say “don’t” because of a negative past experience. For example, if someone says he doesn't like vegetables, it could be because eating kale once made him feel sick. Or if someone says she doesn't run, it may be because she once suffered an injury from running. "I can't do 10 push-ups"

Reframe that sentence!
Do 1 pushup!
So the next day tell yourself, I can do two push-ups, and keep going until you hit your goal.

It's like waking up early or trying to resist your fave dessert. It's all up in your mind!!!
