Fall is coming...pear ginger vanilla bean muffins. Saw some beautiful red bartlett pears at the farmers’ market and had to get them. With little time to create something, I made pear muffins using vanilla bean and ginger. To pump up the flavor, I minced up some candied ginger and mixed it into the streusel. What a winner! The candied ginger caramelized and created the most amazing crunchy top. I love it when my instincts take over and magic happens.
