What does it take to make a lasting change? You need to have a vision… I just needed to change my mindset and the way that I was thinking. Before I would tell myself that in order to lose weight and get fit I needed to stop eating sugar, stop eating carbs, stop drinking, stop eating fast food… I told myself all the things I CAN’T do and CAN’T have… But once I changed to a positive mindset, I started to create a vision of what I CAN DO ... what I wanted to BE like, LOOK like, FEEL like, ACT like… A vision so compelling that it has become a part of me! It’s who I am and my life ... That thing that excites me and compels me… That’s what keeps me moving forward… And it’s so much more fulfilling when you create that for yourself with the help of like-minded people around you @frankienem 💚
Then I put everything in place I needed to in order to reach that goal and vision… And that is what made this journey and process so amazing! I found true love in the process and the journey.
Working on my physical health, emotional health, and mental health was the best thing I could have ever done for myself and my son!! For my son I am showing him that ANYTHING is possibly at any age as long as you believe in yourself, have a vision you create, positive self talk and put it all into hard work! What I am now going to give back to my son, and to myself, is invaluable! The gym is therapy. 100%! If you want to change your life you need to raise your standards. And that is exactly what I have done. I decided my life is worth more and when I raised my standards to become a better mother, a better friend, a better partner, a better teacher, a better me... I made lasting change.
Raise your standards, because you have to work for your goals and you don’t always get your goals, but... you always have your standards!!
