So this is today: Alice Paillard of @champagnebrunopaillard arrived in Chicago to share beautiful Champagne with us... including a real surprise (see the video). Check out why this Monday was epic!
Celebrating success of NZ's top 200 companies at the Deloitte Top 200 Awards last week. Dhall & Nash is proud to be a sponsor with our own Billecart-Salmon being the Champagne of choice for such an event 🥂 #dnfinewine
Two of my top picks from last weekends tasting with 23 Champagnes from the vintage 2008, swipe to see the other one. • Larmandier-Bernier Vieille Vigne Du Levant 2008: Exceptional terroir in Cramant (Côte des Blancs), this cuvée previous was named “Vieille Vigne de Cramant” but they got tired of explaining the difference between “Cramant” and “Crémant” so now they changed the name;) (nothing else changed). Very rich champagne with balanced acidity and it’s just so beautiful with almost ripe fruits (red apples), astonishing mineral and the lengthy finish is to die for. One of the absolutely best 2008 vintages in this lineup to drink now. • Deutz Brut Vintage 2008: Deutz is located in beautiful Aÿ and was founded by William Deutz 1838 (I’m a big fan of their prestige William Deutz). This is from a big house unlike my other personal favorites from the tasting. Fresh, creamy and very well balanced. A harmonious wine that takes care of you from start to finish with no disappointments on the way. Not a complex wine but still one of my big positive surprises. • #deutz#deutz2008#larmandierbernier#vieillesvignesdulevant2008#cramant#ay#cotedesblancs#winesecchio#dailychampagnes#winebosses_feature#winerylovers#goodchampagne#prestigechampagne#vintagechampagne#monopolyace#ChampagneXS#champagneeverything#champagneworldwide
