In ' Sweet Bird of Youth ' by Tennessee Williams, Heavenly is presented as the consequences of someone else's broken dream. Chance travelled the world to chase his desired life, unaware the life he left behind at home resulted a catastrophic atmosphere for Heavenly. Violated, abused and forced to marry a money-bag by her selfish father merely to gain a greater reputation. Williams created a scene of Heavenly conversing with her father in which evidently highlights her wretched, unfortunate state. Would things have been different if Chance never left? Or would things have been different if they never met? Or if her father was richer? What if? Is the question that has no answers.
