Here is tonight’s The Track story....this is a pic of the field I cross to get the track, from where I park. I park on Pleasant Grove. The lights are the Lansing Police Department parking lot, and the track is just before that, but it’s basically a football field I walk through to get to the track. You can park closer, but apparently I like life hard. So, tonight, I walked across this field, got to the track, looked down.....aaaaaaand the key fob I dangle from a wrist thing was there, but the bottom half, key part was GONE. So, in order to drive or get into my car, I could not. Long short of my evening....I began retracing my field steps, back and forth and back and forth, darkness was setting in, I called roadside service for a lockout, it’s dark now I’m using my phone flashlight, locksmith gets there in 20 minutes, has my car unlocked in 6 seconds aaaaaaaaand my extra set of keys were in my purse, in the car. Whew!!! I was home a few minutes later.
Tomorrow, I am going to go back to the field and look for the other half of the fob or else I have a new key plan. I need an extra set of keys, I cannot be trusted with only one set. I never panicked and I never cried. Both are amazing feats. The end. P.S. Ron Vermillion who owns Capital Area Road Service is the shit!!
