2) this is a lesson. Sometimes people IRL allude to how β€œeasy” it must be to lose weight. It’s NOT. Tonight is a PRIME example of that. I wanted Taco Bell, like reallyyyyy bad. I could even taste it! But instead of going to TB for that delicious Doritos loco taco 🀀🀀🀀 I put together my own tacos. I saved money and points!

All of this to say: every food decision you make matters. I’ve had an off track couple of days, but I hopped right back on ASAP. Every meal is a new opportunity to change your life. I easily could have β€œwaited until Monday” but why not start now?

Don’t feel ashamed when you do slip up, it’s human nature. Just turn it around as soon as you can and keep going. Changing your life is hard, but oh so worth it πŸ’œ

Quick 2 pt lunch from my prep:

1 Joseph’s pita (1pt)
Sliced tomato (0pts)
3 chickpea balls (0 pts)
Not tzatziki sauce (0 pts)
1 tbsp hummus (1 pt)
1 oz ff feta (0 pts)

Spread the hummus on half the pita and some of the sauce (ff Greek yogurt, minced garlic and ranch seasoning). Stacked half a sliced tomato, 3 chickpea balls and sprinkled the ff feta. I won’t lie, it did crumble and was a bit messy to eat but really really delicious!

I am so excited about this weeks prep! I was inspired by @downshiftology prep videos where rather than make dishes, she preps ingredients. She then uses those prepped ingredients to put different meals together throughout the week in only a few minutes. So you end up with a different meal daily with the ingredients in your fridge.
This week I prepped:
Cooked pasta (5pts a cup or 2 pts 1/2 c)
Jasmine rice (6 pts a cup or 3 pts 1/2 c)
AF chicken drumsticks ( 3 pts each)
Roasted corn /black bean sautΓ©e (0 pts)
Chickpea balls (0 pts)
Not tzatziki (0 pts)
2 ingredient bagels (3 pts/ 4 pts for cinnamon raisin)
AF boneless pork ribs (4pts for 3 oz)

I’m thinking pork burrito bowls, Mexican pasta salad, falafel bowls, chicken and rice, tacos! I’ll be posting what I come out with throughout the week!

I have come to terms about certain things in my life that I tried to avoid. I tried to pretend that I was in control of my eating habits and my weight. I tried to pretend that I didn’t have a chronic illness and that ignoring it would make things better. Man, was I wrong! About a year ago I was diagnosed with Pcos. If you are unaware what PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) is it is pretty much a hormonal disorder. Girls with PCOS also have extra androgens . Although people often think of androgens as male hormones, females have them too. The extra androgen can lead to acne, excess body hair, weight gain, irregular periods, and other PCOS symptoms. I’ve had such a hard time this last year staying on track with my weighloss journey. It’s frustrating knowing that you are working hard and somehow your body’s hormones are working against you. It is not an excuse to give up but it sure did push me back a little. I have finally taken steps to get my hormonal levels balanced and seek help from an Endocrinologist. I encourage everyone to listen to your body and seek help when things don’t seem right. This is something I will battle with for life and although it SUCKS it is not the end of this journey. Super simple but sooo yummy! I mixed the ranch and salsa together to make my own salsa ranch (I know, sounds super fancy but I did it πŸ˜‚). I also like to melt my cheese into my taco meat bc it tastes better that way (and that’s a fact!)
