Body dysmorphia is a constant struggle in my life. I know I've gotten rid of 175 pounds, over 12 inches off my waist, and gone from high blood pressure to healthy levels. Everyday I have moments of panic where I feel like my old self and I need to remind my brain that I'm not that person anymore. I'm who I set out to be when I started my weight loss journey with @loseitapp. I can sit up in bed without struggle. I can put my shoes on without gasping for breath. My socks don't feel like they're strangling my legs. I don't have to try to hide my belly and Moobs (man boobs). I know all of that but I still need to remind myself that I've changed. 💪
For those just starting your weight loss journey, know that we are here for you. We understand your struggle. @wlstories and @wlstories8 is an open community here and on Facebook that are great about building each other up during times of doubt and frustration. It's not easy to go from morbidly obese to healthy. There will be moments throughout your weight loss where you'll feel like you're not making progress. You'll fall into old habits. You'll gain some weight back. You'll over eat. You'll want to give up. I go through it often. We are here for you
