It's not about how close or how far away you are, it is the intention. Just re-reading Papa BKS Iyengar's Tree of Yoga: he explained how we may all have different beliefs and that belief is objective; you either believe or you don't. On the other hand faith is subjective: you don't need to equate belief with faith. He has faith in yoga because it made him healthy again after his fight with tuberculosis. Likewise I also have faith in yoga, not just the asana but also the meditation. I cannot isolate the two for it was my curiosity for #asana that led me back to my abandoned #meditation practice when I first moved here. A physical injury triggering a new journey that prevented me from spiraling back into the doldrums of anxiety, stress and loss when things got a little tense at work.
It is my intention today to open my heart and my mind and to carry on with faith, it is with this intention that I continue to breathe and to melt into this pose, to recognize that no matter how many times I were to repeat it or how long I would stay in it that these are milestones on an endless journey.

Thank you @lornajanesingapore for inspiring me to ask myself in the here and now what my favorite pose is and thus helping me realize how much I love heart openers.
