I had a vision for this shot ever since I saw the famous @chrisburkard longboard photo on this very road. I wanted to capture my own version, tell my own story in the same way as someone I really admire. (If I’m being honest, I wanted to be the one on the longboard but the road is steep and I’m not very skilled). Of course I didn’t plan very well, the lighting was wrong, the road was busy, and I had two models instead of just one. But I love this photo so dang much because I walked away with exactly what I wanted: my own version, and a good story. I’m endlessly thankful for the humans in my life who go above and beyond to adventure with me and do crazy stunts for my photo work.
