Letting it marinate!!!! Hi everyone!!! Team JA.RS. is back!
Aw man. The past few months have been hectic. Our tree has given us an amazing amount of loquats yet again. We've been so busy though, and I feel a little bit guilty every time I pass by the tree on my way out, telling myself, "Make the jam soon! Don't let these orange beauties go to waste!" So, we're making a dozen jars this week, just enough to sell for Mother's Day, but I'll probably not finish until Saturday!
Guys. This is an all day activity that we've been trying to fit into a few hours every night. We're making sure our jars are disinfected, and the jam marinates for just the right amount of time. Consistency is key! We want to make sure that when you taste this season's jam, it tastes just the same as it did the year before! So far, it SMELLS the same.
Anyway, wanted to show this sweet little vid because if we had smell-o-cam your eyes would roll to the back of your head. The fruit juices extracted from the sugar smells heavenly. YES. Like, could someone make me a candle that smells like this? I can't even.... More posts to come!!! BE FOREWARNED.
