This work has taken me a long time to concieve before I actually executed it in delicate layers and each colour, stroke and form has an informative value meant to take you into the work.
It is an important work for me because it entails my philosophy on life. It comes from experiences and my work in art, education and alternative therapy... As it happens with many of my titles this one also has a double meaning. What do I see? What do you see? What are we looking at in the future? What is our path? The Seer is also always the seeker... Visions of a new world are what the Seer ( the shadow form is autobiographical) sees in the same world. Nothing is what it is... The past, present and future are timeless. It also has my understanding of perception as associated with the art world encoded within. A work which has multiple layers of connotation and nuances, ideally this piece needs to be soaked into and engaged with intimately to derive the timeless messages from time immemorial which are getting lost to us... I hope you enjoy sitting over this one with a cup of coffee in your hand and wonderful thoughts about the world we live in! Be intutive, be inspired!
