There's something powerful about childhood memories. Some of mine are stored as feelings which are often hard to translate into words. Is there even a word in the English language for the tangible feeling which is now the barometer for my creative resolve.
The feeling you have when you get that toy you've spent all year dreaming of. The prying open of the box to reveal an object which evokes a cascade of emotions. Excitement, intrigue, endless possibilities, something to create. This feeling guides my creative process and is the foundation of everything I produce.
Alongside this runs an intrinsic imprint which I bring to every project. The fascination with fractal repetition, organic forms, all things great and small. Forms that repeat, gather, randomly and chaotically in organised form. Out of this is born a sculpture in miniature, the essence and excitement of a playful exchange.
For those who want to transform. Create a walking theatrical event. Wear their art on their sleeve. Embrace a sentiment of desire. Be at one with a feeling of a bygone age. .
