A super-intense, fast paced and challenging cardio blast, set to a motivational sound track and lighting to support. This class promises to boost your metabolism, burn calories 🔥 and condition with little time for recovery. When booking any Sweat It class, you are offered three different workout stations to begin; run start, rig start or double rig. We chose run 🏃🏼‍♀starting with a warm up jog before quickly getting into a pattern of alternating jogs and sprints before moving onto the floor for some callisthenics training, playing with weights, resistance bands, body weight and anchored deadlifts before returning to the treadmills for yet more sprint / jog combos 😳 If you choose your class time rightly (or wrongly, depending on how much you want to give in the class), you’re likely to be in a class with low numbers as the gym has only recently opened, meaning Jamal’s eagle eyes 👀 will be on you the entire time just like they were on us, challenging you to up your game, speeds, inclinations and weights. We were dripping in sweat and slightly sick within minutes! •

Struggle warming up your oh squat? Stop doing pointless stretches with bands!

Try out these 4 to warm up. Do 3-4 sets on each as part of a giant set.
-oh steps ups x 6 el
-oh split squats x 6 el
-goblet squat holds x 45 sec
-side plank rotations x 8 es

Prep your shoulders and hips together and allow them to prepare for the intensity of oh squats. Almost everything needs to be working together so don’t rush. A lot of problems that people have with olympic lifting is rushing their warm ups. Their body simply isn’t ready and the feeling of anything over head whilst moving towards the ground simply isn’t going to work!

Over the past few months, my boyfriend @mikey.pt.london and I have been running weekly @the.bodyproject Bootcamps in Barnes (London) with a bunch of wonderful Mums I have met through my NCT group, Sensory class, neighbours and friends of friends 👭👶🏻👭👶🏻

As well as tone up my bod and build some much needed strength back 💪🏻, I feel in better shape than I did before I even got pregnant and a lot of it is down to being a lot more aware of what I'm eating whilst breastfeeding and training properly with an experinced PT not just walking for hours with my pram 😴

It has also been such a great way to meet lots of new Mums going through similar stages to myself as well as more experienced Mums who have all the advice!👍🏼Pia loves coming along and playing with the other babies 👶🏻👶🏻 or just chilling in her pram and watching us sweat 😅

It's such a good feeling hearing all the ♡positive feedback♡ from everyone. I feel super proud to be able to offer something like this for the Mums of Barnes 😊

I can't stress how important it is to try and start exercising (when you can) after having a baby. I know its sometimes hard to get out the house (I still struggle!) but the benefits are just huge - not only for your body but for your #mentalhealth too 🙌 I can genuinely feel the difference on the days that I don't train 😑 I feel irritable, exhausted and stressed about everything...the last three things I need as a new Mum 🙅🏻 So for me, these Bootcamps basically keep me sane 😅

A reliable way of developing lower abs is to get strong at hanging leg raise type exercises. Get rid of any swinging movement and it’s hard to get it wrong.
