We would like to thank @shandabordeaux and her family for their lovely heartfelt donation for our #luckynumberraffle, this print has a beautiful backstory and will be a prized possession for the person who wins it.
Shanda's Uncle Wayne, her father's brother was diagnosed with cancer her Uncle Ronnie, her father's other brother, knew his love of local historic architecture and wanted to do something to help raise money for his cancer treatments and to help support Uncle Wayne’s wife and two young daughters.
"Uncle Ronnie created this print, a collage of the oldest churches and homes located in Historic Downtown Wilmington in honor of my Uncle and has sold many of them throughout the years. When my Uncle did pass, the family decided to use the remaining prints to either sell (which now some the money raised goes straight to Hospice in my uncle’s memory) or our family donates to local causes to use for their own fundraising endeavors…honestly as a way to honor my Uncle’s life! I just wanted to share the “back story"." "So we are honored to donate towards the Lindsay M. Benton Foundation and look forward to doing so in the years to come."
