Sold ~$180 worth of shoes for $13. Brb while I sit alone in the corner eating an entire humble pie.
#DaveRamsey explains that a car loses 70% of its value in the first four years of buying it, and it depreciates the most as soon as you drive it out of the dealership’s lot. So, what about clothing/shoes? I can’t imagine what the percentages for something like that is; they probably lose value so much faster. Selling my shoes for so little was a huge lesson for me. Granted, I bought those three pairs of shoes when I was younger and reckless with my money, but it’s still a lesson learned TODAY on being PATIENT and LESS IMPULSIVE. It has shown me how important it is to stop and think through the potential purchase. Will this item really be worth to me later what I think it’s worth now? Looking at my $13, no. It isn’t worth it. What is worth it? Saving the money.
