Guys, this sign by @thecuratedfarmhouse stopped me in my scrolls today!! This Mama who stays at home, homeschools, never leaves the house and only has short phone conversations highly interrupted by “no”s and “don’t do that”s has struggled with the idea that I wasn’t doing enough. Being Mom wasn’t enough. It probably took me until my third child did I really start to see it differently. That the messy house, messy buns and the “why is my shirt wet?” filled days are also filled with scattered opportunities to speak into my children. To teach them all that they are to know about who God plans for them to be. About how to exist in this ever changing world with the unchanging concept of loving your neighbor. Them showing the love of the Lord to others as they grow starts with me teaching and living it now, daily. So fellow Mamas, Daddies and caretakers, be emboldened in knowing that what you choose to do today sets the building blocks for tomorrow and remember that as you are picking up those toy blocks for the fiftieth time this week. What you are doing matters. It is enough.
