after getting off instagram for a month at the beginning of the year, i read 9 books. *nine* books. in 30 days.
in the time i usually spent on my phone.
i am not saying that to slam instagram, or other forms of social media, because they have their benefits and wonderful uses. but rather to point out how imbalanced my use of it was. i love to read, i always have, and one of my intentions for the year was to get back to reading like i used to and make it one of my priorities in my day-to-day again. ✺
i'll be sharing some of the books i read throughout the year in my instagram story highlights and i would really love for it to foster a continual mini virtual book club of sorts for anyone who's interested!
i love talking about books with people as well as getting new book recommendations so slide into those DMs bookworms. 🐛
what are you reading and enjoying right now?
seen here is Living On The Earth by Alicia Bay Laurel. a completely hand illustrated and hand written book from 1970 on various homesteading tips, recipes, handmade how-tos, and insight on how to live more naturally and holistically.
pretty much the manual for my #dirtyhippy ways. 😉
