BEST FRUIT? When the internet shows us ‘nutrition’ it’s always a comparison. Which is the healthiest fruit/snack/vegetable/fish etc?

But it’s just not that simple. Have a look at the stats on banana and strawberries.

Did you pick strawberries because they’re lower in sugar? Or Bananas because they’re higher in Potassium? The truth is NEITHER is the best. If you stopped eating bananas and only ate strawberries as your fruit - you’re going to be missing out of lots of vital nutrients, antioxidants and special types of fibre (bananas have a special type of fibre that are really good for our gut bacteria). All foods offer us a range of different things, more than what google or myfitnesspal can tell us. We need to eat as many different types as we can each day to reap the benefits.

I see a lot of people who think they’ve nailed healthy eating by eating the same things every day. Yes; berries are awesome - low in energy (eat heaps! Yay!) and full of antioxidants. But it doesn’t make them better than any other fruit. 🌈 Eat the rainbow 🍌🥔🍏🥕🍊🍓🍆

So this is the final result of my real food, healthy birthday cake for my niece's 3rd birthday. Made with just wholefood ingredients including ground @australianalmonds and sweetened naturally with @australianbananas this delicious cake is free from gluten/grains, dairy and sugar. The coconut frosting is made with whipped @teamgoodness coconut milk solids (recipe on my website). It was so delicious!!! She loves The Little Mermaid hence the decorations 🎂
It's a good feeling having your kids enjoy such yummy goodness without any nasties and instead nourishing their little bodies with real food 😊

FYI {the idea is to die young as late as possible}

Since coming back from holiday, I have kinda been all over the place! Story of my life really 🙈 .

I was doing really well. I was dropping weight consistently and starting to feel good. But over the last 6 weeks or so I have been up and down. Whilst I still have a loss from when I started, I have gained some lbs back - which I'm not happy about! .

I also have the issue that I sprained my ankle whilst in Thailand. That was almost 5 weeks ago now and it is still sore so I cannot run, walk long distance, cycle or weight train (my legs anyway)...all very inconvenient as I am missing the gym! .

Not being able to train properly means my eating really has to be on point so here I sit - meal planning! I am trying to pull inspiration from my two favourite people @thebodycoach and @aliceliveing and plan to stick to low carb options. Both of these books have some amazingly delicious ideas. The hope is if I keep the meals interesting, I won't be tempted to reach for the biscuit tin 🙈 .
