Earth day and fashion revolution themes should be something we are always thinking about! I try my best to do my part as a fibers artist and just as a human in general! I'm not perfect though I could always do More! This year I've decided to start a dye garden for my work! It's an amazing process to watch these little plants grow! Soon they will be a part of my art and contribute to slower and ethical fashion! Chemical dyes are destroying our earth, it is the one of the largest pollutants our world faces. If I can do something to limit the impacts just a tiny bit, or just inform my IG followers that this is an important issue, I've done something. So just think about how your textiles in your life are made and dyed that's an excellent start, then look a little harder! Buy clothes from ethical distributors, or handmade from local artists, or dig through thrift stores! Long story short I hope if you read all of this you're at least thinking more about the topic. Also if you've read this far thank you for listening!! I've been highlighting the journey my plants are on so take a look in my profile! The world is a beautiful place filled with magic let's try to keep it that way!! 🌐🌱💗 #earthmagic #fashionrevolution #slowfashion #naturaldyes #woad #madder #indigo #maketheworldabetterplace #livelocally #thinkglobal #savetheenvironment #whomademyclothes #whogrewmyclothes
