I had a solid arm day on Wednesday so I thought I was recovering and wanted to beast my back workout the next day... Tried back yesterday aaaaaand I still need to chill out😅.

Thought it was my shoulder, but I'm pretty sure it's my right lat bc back days are usually enjoyable for me, not difficult (even wore my fave back shirt to get into the groove). I had to lower the lb (and my big head 🙄) and increase my patience bc I was only making it worse and my body could tell. I think I'm reiterating this for myself at this point but it doesn't hurt to say it again but #LISTENTOYOURBODY 🙏🏼.

I know I sound whiny and all I really need to do is take a break, but that's the hardest part for me! Taking a break from the gym sounds so foreign bc not only is getting a workout in a great recharge to get my day started, but it's just a nice getaway where I can literally shut the world out and just do me... I have always been a dreamer and set giant goals for myself. If you would have told me I would be one of the Top 5 @bodybuildingcom Spokesmodels this year, I don’t think I would have believed you. I can remember watching the group last year wondering how many more steps I needed to take in order to even be considered. This company doesn’t look at people for their followers or fame. This company is interested in the humans behind the face and THAT is what has made this week a dream come true. I went into this week wanting to be who God has created me to be and allowing Him to speak through me and move me. I wanted Him to help me to see new doors open where I can help impact more people to chase freedom. The doors have opened y’all and I’m moving right through. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2018. Almost every morning I wake up, workout & then make a big egg/veggie scramble. That’s just my routine. Today I woke up and my body wasn’t feeling a workout. So I took a walk. Then I wasnt feeling my normal bfast, so I made this real quick👆🏽 .
Sometimes without even realizing it, we’re just living by our “routine” and not listening to our bodies. I thrive off of routine so it’s hard for me to switch it up. It’s so important that we tune in to our needs in the moment, and go from there instead of just aimlessly following a schedule. That’s exactly what I did today & it felt DAMN GOOD. I used to follow all these weird rules I made for myself around food. One of them was eating certain foods at the “wrong” time of day—that freaked me out. Now I eat what I want, when I want and it feels really freaking good to have that freedom. A loaded salad bowl at 8am because my body asked for it today👇🏻
Bed of kale, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts topped with half an avocado, wild salmon, and a beet dip made with @kitehillfoods almond based cream cheese, tahini, @kamenfoods olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Things just taste better when they’re pink, okay?!🤷🏻‍♀️

This weekend was filled with so many wonderful moments and delicious eats, and I feel recharged and ready to tackle the busy week ahead. A simple and healthy breakfast was exactly what I was craving this morning, so this #yogurtbowl definitely hit the spot. Packing this breakfast took less than five minutes, yet it was tasty and satisfying. Remember, healthy eating doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated.

Apples are red, berries are blue, pears are sweet and they are all good for you 🤗

Turned up to the gym thinking I’d do a full body weights type session with a bit of cardio thrown in there BUT just didn’t wanna do it🤷🏼‍♀️ soooooo I went into the empty studio🤸🏼‍♀️ laid out some mats and just moved my body doing handstands, balances, some conditioning, burpees, tuck jumps, some yoga and LOVED IT! 어쩌면 어제의 시간은 요즘의 내게 너무나도 필요했던 시간이 아닌가 싶다.
하루 24시간 중 절반 이상을 긴장된 상태에서,
각잡힌 생활을 보내는 나로써 (심지어 하루종일 집에서 쉬더라도 단 1분이라도 아무 것도 안 하면서 지내는 적은 없는 것 같다.)
조용하면서도 은은한 음악을 들으며 몸이 움직이고 싶은대로 가만히 냅두는 것 만큼 내게 꼭 필요했던, 값진 시간이었다.

In all honesty, today I didn’t really want to post my #postworkout photo as I just didn’t feel like myself. I ate a lot of food I usually wouldn’t over the weekend, and I guess it made me feel a little guilty and thus unworthy to share on my fitness account. However, I decided I WOULD post it here to teach myself that not everything I do needs to be perfect and that it’s ok to slip up sometimes. In all I do I like to give it 100% and find it so hard to do anything half heartedly. ☝︎I think being a perfectionist in your own eyes can be both a good and bad thing. In my option I think it’s important not to let it ‘run’ your life but only to let it guide you ♡.
Anyone else struggle with being a perfectionist in all they do? .
Anyway enough said, today’s week 8 #sweatyshredder was a killer!! Ab kicks to start and then push-up burpees later in the circuit. So challenging after 5 days off cardio! But.. I got through it 💪🏼.

Using this as a lifeline today

Working on self through whatever medium (God, art, music, journaling) is so fucking important and I STILL don't do it as often as I should.

That has to change.

I'm seeing the slippery slope where if I don't implement self care and self love, at least working toward it anyway, I'm gonna fall and not get back up.

Being vulnerable like this is definitely something I would usually avoid but I feel like it's necessary.

I have to face my shit, even if it's mother fucking ugly if I want to find that neutrality that I've been searching for.

And of course that neutrality has always been available to me. However, for some insane reason let all those obstacles cave in and block the way.

Why?

Because I'm used to drowning in my own expectations and never getting anywhere. Because a part of me craves the bullshit. Because it's easier. Because a part of me loves and craves the drama.
But I don't want that anymore. I am freeing myself, SLOWLY and painstakingly from the bullshit.

Never miss a Monday is how I roll... except when I’m listening to my body. I’m still fighting this head cold and I know pushing myself right now will not end well.
I have visited with lots of family and friends over the past few weeks and everyone has said the same words to me. “You are so inspiring”. I’m so happy to hear and know that my posts are helping to motivate and encourage so many to get up and moving or start eating better.

Bread🍞you know how some people have that one food that they could eat constantly without caring about the lack of health benefits to it Chocolate, Cheese, Pizza, etc🤔Personally bread has ALWAYS been my downfall🙈🍞I mean I could eat a loaf a day with nothing on it, not a bother😂🍞🙈most bread is vegan because it's just Yeast, Water, Salt but it ain't nutritionally the best for you🍞🌱but why it is great in some ways is to get other nutritional foods into you as a vegan like salad, tofu or veggie sandwich👍HOWEVER, for me personally I am Yeast Intolerant which means bread is the ONE food that makes me look like a human balloon🙎🎈I could look like 2 dress sizes up one day and 2 dress sizes down the next! THAT SH*T IS CRAZY🙈😂🐋it's like being Lactose intolerant (Which I am) and drinking milk(Which I Used to do)🙈It's not Good for you🙎🍞🤔Other than the Odd Cheat Meal exception, I am not going to touch bread for 1. Skincare has always been an important part of my life from the days of Mum asking as I went to say goodnight “have you made sure to cleanse tone & moisturise your face before you go to bed” (which at the time of course I thought was annoying as kids do but I have been blessed with pretty good skin so thanks Mum 😉)

I’ve tried so many different products & ranges over the years when it comes to skincare, always making sure I purchased quality products however in those years my values & awareness have also changed which is why I found myself on the hunt for a brand that kept it simple yet effective all while leaving all the nasties out, because no one wants to be friends with those nastie pasties 🙅🏼‍♀️ .

Efter det:

✅Mat för att fylla på energinivåerna
✅Mera jobb/nyttiga saker
✅Mera mat

På kvällen efter en dag med avklarade saker, då kan jag eventuellt se en film, serie eller liknande.

Ich will wieder zurück zum Ursprung #intuitivessen , d.h. ich werde keine Kalorien mehr zählen, sondern wieder lernen, auf mein Körper zu hören. • Erst essen, wenn ich „körperlichen“ Hunger verspüre • Auf mein Sättigungsgefühl hören (egal wie lecker das Essen auch ist) • Lernen mit „emotionalen“ Hunger umzugehen (und ich bin ein emotionaler Esser 😳)

Ich will so gut wie es geht auf Süßigkeiten verzichten. Ich weiß, das „Verbote“ nicht produktiv ist, aber da mich dieser „schlechte“ Zucker krank macht, will ich wieder lernen dies aufs Minimum einzuschränken. Mehr auf gesunde Alternativen zurück (Obst, etc.).

Da ich das #joggen für mich entdeckt habe, ich es aber die letzten Monate etwas schleifen lassen habe, will ich das ab dem neuen intensiver angehen. • Ich will mein ersten 10 Km-Lauf absolvieren und • danach ist auch der erste Halbmarathon geplant.

Wie ihr seht, ich habe schon viel drüber nachgedacht und ein besseren Start als der 01.01. gibt es nicht. 😊👍🏻 Sonst gibt es sowieso wieder ein sehr tolles Jahr , was sehr vielfältig wird. Wir wollen unser Bad neu machen, dann geht es für paar Tage nach Tropical Irland, paar Tage nach Fehmarn und gegen ¾ des Jahres auch mit dem Flugzeug paar Tage ins Warme. Man kann sich auf das Jahr nur freuen. ☺️ ☺️☺️

I know for me what works is being grateful before I fall asleep at night, this not only reminds you of all the magic in your life but will calm your mind of any worries before trying to fall asleep....

It’s been a fair few weeks since I’ve actually wanted to do any physical asana in my practice. All I have been doing is meditation and the odd stretch here and there. But my body is craving strength and balance and movement right now. The energy is returning and while it’s not quite up to a full blown power sequence, she wants to shift and flow. I’ve listened to my body every step of the way recently, what does it crave? What does it need? How can I nurture her? She never fails to give me wisdom and guidance. As we head into one of the busiest and craziest weeks of the year, can you ask your body right now... what does it need? And then can you honour that answer, no matter what? Even if you just honour 1% of what it needs you will be showing it that you are listening. One minute of listening could make the festive period even more joyful, or a little bit less stressful... depending where you are on that fence. You do have time to ask the question, you owe it to your beautiful body to take a moment and hear the whispers. ❤️🤗

Today I spent the morning at the skate park.
I admired how brave my youngest son was as he went down the big slope for the first time.
Last visit, just weeks ago, he refused to go down. Today, he literally did not think twice as he rode the big slope.
I’m using my son as a role model for braveness.
More of the “magic” happens outside of our comfort zones.
I was brave today, I planted a couple more non-diet seeds. 😊

Lately, I have been focusing on my health. I listen to my body and I've been more active. Last night I bought a booklet with a calendar so that I can can write down my measurements, weight, workouts, symptoms etc. I have a goal in mind to be a better me! There's no point in shoulda, coulda, woulda. All we have is this moment. Carpe Diem ~ Seize the day!

Realising my issue was my body was protein deficient and that was why for the last year I have been craving natural sugars and carbs all the time. It’s like I don’t eat any thing but rice cakes and fruit. Sometimes you just need to listen to your body and nourish it with what is needs in order to fully function. So tonight after only having meat once maybe twice a YEAR! I have changed the way I eat. After I had fast food as my dinner today, I felt extremely drowsy and uncomfortable as there’s a fire in my stomach. I guess I won’t have it again anymore. 😩My body wasn’t happy with that food so I’ll respect its choice.

By the way, I found an amazing crystal bowl meditation on the YouTube today and it’s so powerful to take chakra meditation with it. Is anyone playing the crystal bow here?

Today had to be one of the toughest days in a while. .
I woke up this morning with the idea to conquer the world including my workout but this cold had another idea.
The Gym was a struggle but I made it.
I received an incredible story that uplifted my spirits, but then reality sunk in.
I had the whole day to get the week prepared. .
My weeks count on Sunday and to be out for the couple causes so much stress in my mind.
But we breathe in stress and breathe out an answer.
We make it happen each day.
I kicked up my feet, medicated up and took a moment for self.
After I was relaxed and ready.... it was time to prep.
But it didn’t need to happen today unless my body said it could. .
I don’t tell you this for a pat on the back. It was for you to understand that even if we look like we have it together, we don’t always.
Sometimes we have to sit and re-evaluate our day to conquer what we can.
Sometimes we have to stop and maybe not conquer.
It’s about getting ourselves together. We are in control! We are in charge! But first we listen to our bodies.
We can run a mile a minute but of the cost of being more run down.
Sometimes our bodies know better than our minds! .
Ladies and gents! Not everyday is perfect but one great thing... you get to try again tomorrow! .
