Now I'm a little confused with this owl. I thought I was taking a picture of Norman, but when I downloaded it I can see it's not, as Norman is not ringed. I was thinking it might be Bertie but he is ringed on the right leg, this looks like it is on the left.
Anyway I like how the sunrise is giving him a warm glow #barnowls #barnowl #owl #animalphotography #britishbirds #birdsmagazine🐤 #birdsofprey #birdsinflight #bbccountryfile #bbcwildlife #bbcwildlifemagazine #englandsbigpicture #englishnaturephotography #lincolnshirewildlifetrust #naturelovers #ukwildlife #ukwildlifeimages #wildlifephotography #wildlifetour #wildlifemagazine

Today I went to mow a meadow!!!
Had a wild day learning how to use the Austrian scythe, a traditional way to cut grass. Great fun and realised it's faster, more eco and better for you than a brush cutter! !

This is a Downlooker Snipe-fly (Rhagio scolopacea) found on a recent visit to Gosling Corner Wood. It is a predator, and its name comes from the fact that it can most often be found resting on tree trunks or fence posts facing downwards looking for prey.
