It was a “train low” ➡️ train with low carb. Why? For training adaptations in the muscle. I definitely do NOT race “low carb.” But if someone’s telling you to eat high carb all the time to support your training...well, then unfortunately they don’t understand how training periodization (and carb periodization) works and the indirect performance benefits of low carb that’s periodized appropriately.
