Widely known as the naturally occurring chemical constituent that gives Lavender its calming and soothing properties, linalool is present in a wide variety of floral and herbal oils.
So if you're just not that into Lavender, you could always try Thyme, Basil, Coriander, Clary Sage, Petitgrain, Neroli, Marjoram, Geranium or Cilantro, among others. Choose your favorite (or whatever you have on hand) and substitute it for Lavender in your diffuser blends and roller bottles.
Because if you really, really don't like Lavender, it will not help you relax. Instead, it will trigger your fight or flight response, which we all know is the exact opposite of peaceful, soothing, calmness.
