“Charlie, don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted.. What’s that?.. He lived happily ever after.”
I asked the girl of my dreams to marry me in the most beautiful setting I’ve ever seen. I wasn’t told that I would be shaking and crying when I did it, but either way, she said Yes! I’m in a constant daze trying to understand why God has been so good to me. All I can say is that it’s good to be a son. In the past few days since that moment, at the base of the Matterhorn in that small Swiss village, I keep recalling a story that a friend once shared with me. It was the story of a man’s life, and at the end of all things he concluded that, in the end he became what he truly believed about himself. Whether that be an extravagant life filled with vision and adventure, or a dull life settled for less, in the end you become what you believe. My life is proof that no matter what hand you’re dealt that your craziest dreams can come true if you never settle and keep pressing on. Charity and this setting are beyond my wildest dreams in every way. I love you Charity!! You are perfect! The way you treat me, your vision, your love for all people, your joy! Now bring us that horizon.
I’m going to marry the woman of my dreams!!!
