Romanian Deadlifts🍑 I know you all have seen a billion people do these but are you doing them correctly?
Biggest thing I want you to focus on is keeping your shoulders back (pinch your shoulders together) and your chest up. It is extremely easy once you start to forget, because as you can see every time I come back up I adjust my form.
Your back... STRAIGHT the entire time, no arch. I repeat, no arch in your lower back. If you feel pain in your lower back at any point try focusing more on engaging your core. Take a deep breathe so your stomach is filled with air, and keep it tight!
I know sometimes I like to look at myself in the mirror, but when I do it I notice that my neck starts to bother me. In that case, if you can, try to keep your head aligned with your spine. Like shown in the second clip.
To begin, feet shoulder width apart. Drive your hips and butt back, let your knees bend slightly, DO NOT move them forward. Lower the bar down your legs, keeping it against them the entire time. Once you feel the stretch you can give a slight pause (2 secs- if you want). When coming back up keep the bar tight to your legs, and drive your hips forward, squeezing your glutes (activate those babies). And there you have it 🍑
