Silence is a void that many people feel the need to fill, to constantly keep the conversation going, to eliminate any "awkwardness"

Once someone has stopped speaking, by not following the conventional reply and simply resorting to silence, the person will feel the need to elaborate. This will help you tremendously when a person is acting reserved and isn't giving you much to work with. Simple, but very few people capitalise.

As I sit here at my desk, with my morning oats and begin my morning to-do list Im calm and ready for the day. I've already coached a 6:30am class, dropped my puppy to daycare and showered/changed before sitting down at my desk. I paused this morning to appreciate that this wasn't always my life. I always used to find myself rushing to work, grabbing a breakfast bar and a coffee from the garage as I applied my mascara and eyeliner whilst sitting in traffic and wondering how the fuck Id managed to be late for work again! All the time thinking how was I tired and WHY was my heart racing so much?! In short this was high stress and anxiety and always feeling rushed was a bi-product of not planning ahead, having a schedule and being prepared, the tiredness was my adrenal fatigue - which was also stopping me from sleeping properly. So what's changed? Slowly I have formed habits which have set me up to start each day calm, well rested & well fed. Habits such as getting enough sleep, preparing food, taking time to unwind and plan your day will take some time to form and you cant change everything all at once - I for sure couldnt anyway! But simple steps can start to make a very positive impact on our lives. Something I found quite easy to implement was making my breakfast the night before and writing a to-do list as soon as I got into the office. How has this helped me? Now rather than grabbing an 'empty calorie' unfulfilling cereal bar on my way into work only to be starving an hour later I have a substantial meal of oats with berries and yoghurt and protein. This fuels me up perfectly for the day and I get to have an immediate 'win' when I wake up. No matter what the day throws at me I was successful in meal prepping my breakfast and having a 'good choice' as my first meal of the day, instant morning pride in Myself! The to-do list has gotten rid of any anxiety - every morning I take a seat and I write down what Id like to get done that day. I found both of these things very easy to implement and they gave me back time, wellbeing and reduced my stress - why not give it a go?! -

➡️ Leave work at WORK: This is difficult for most, but it can be done. Avoid answering emails and phone calls unless it's an emergency. And some emergencies can wait until the next day😉....
➡️ A hot bath: This can help to release toxins in your body and relax you.

There's nothing wrong with hustling for a time, but it's not sustainable as a long-term lifestyle. It leads to burning out emotionally and will block your ability to find creative solutions for the growth your trying so hard to achieve. If some of the most successful individuals in business can take time to meditate on a regular bases you should be able to carve out time to do something similar. * * * * * * * * * * *
