Part 2: While my 宝贝K is recovering from stomach flu. Simple meal with porridge for him. He dreaded fish the most. Basically any types of fish he hates. Even the slightest fishy smell n even how u prepared it. But he is fine with white fish with the kind of 'long kang' taste. Therefore I bought this PREMIUM white fish. To my surprise, not even the slightest fishy smell n no 'long kang' taste. The fish looks easy but many works to b done here (fried the garnish/ cook the sauce). 😊 Egg did twice as first attempt was failed. Overall Succeed! ✌
Ps: simple meal but kitchen is in full mess n many pans and utensils is being used. Blame on my OCD 😕

💖 Tomato Penne pasta
.
Woke up early this morning to prepare her breakfast and lunch as we have to join Christmas playgroup organized by Australian International School.
Not a fancy meal but definitely something she likes.
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Place 30gm of pasta into a middle pot of boiling water and cook according to pack instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Meanwhile, hit the wok with a tablespoon of #ntuc cold pressed olive oil and stir fry the sliced mushrooms and frozen mixed vegetables . Add in the 3 tablespoons of homemade tomato pasta sauce, pasta and parmesan cheese.
3. Stir until it combined well. Transfer to bento box and ready to go out!

💖 Mee sua soup ‖ 面线汤.
💖 Stir fried Ginger and scallions fish‖ 姜葱鱼片.

Have an appointment in the afternoon, so gotta prepare Gwen's lunch slightly early. A quick and simple lunch for her today!
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Pour about 150ml of pork stock into a small pot and bring to a boil. Add in a stalk of Mee sua and allow to simmer for 3-5mins and add in the spinach. Stir to combine all the ingredients mix well.
Mee sua soup dOnE!
2. Marinade threadfin with sesame oil and pepper for 20mins. Set aside.
3. Hit oil in a wok. Add in the sliced ginger and cook until aromatic. Add in the fish and stir few times. Add a bit of water and continue to stir fry. Add in the chopped scallions and do a final few stir before serve.
FisH dOne!
4. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve! .

💖 Sesame oil chicken with steamed brown rice + 🍉 .
The most aromatic and delicious braised chicken ever.
Guarantee you will love it!! 👍
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Marinate 50gm of chicken fillet with ginger sauce and sesame oil for 20mins.
2. Heat up a little bit of sesame oil in a wok. Add the chopped garlic and do a quick stir until it turns golden colour. 3. Add the black fungus and capsicum and stir fry until aromatic. Add in the chicken, a pinch of salt and some water to dilute the sauce.
4. Simmer for a few mins until the chicken is tender. Stir in the coriander right before serving.

💖 For Gwen - Noodles soup with sesame oil chicken.

Ingredients and instructions :
1. Marinate the chicken with pepper and sesame oil for 20mins. Set aside.
2. Meanwhile, boil a pot of water and add in the noodles to cook for about 3-5mins and blanch the vege for about 1min. Drain and set aside.
3. In another pot, add in 300ml of salmon broth. Bring to boil and add in the noodles, vege and mushroom and continue to cook until it's boiled. For mine, I added additional side dish. I have crab meat stick, fish ball and ngo hiang fish cake. 😆
Noodles is done!
4. Heat up a pan with sesame oil.
5. Add in the chicken when the oil is hot. Fry for 3 mins then shake the pan lightly to move the chicken to prevent sticking.
6. Turn the chicken over and continue to pan fry until it turned golden brown colour.
7. Garnish with crispy chopped garlic before serving.

💖•Creamy broccoli and cod fish pasta•💖

Ingredients and instructions :
1. Marinate the fish with mixed herbs and garlic powder for 20mins. Set aside.
2. Meanwhile, boil a pot of water and add in 50gm of pasta to cook for time per pack and blanch the broccoli for about 1min. Drain and set aside.
3. Over medium heat, melt butter. Add chopped garlic and onion, cook for 3 - 4 mins until onion is light golden and soft.
4. Add in the pasta, mushrooms, broccoli and sliced carrots. Stir until it combined well.
5. Add in 100ml of chicken broth, 50ml fresh milk, 20gm of cheddar cheese and 2 tablespoon of all purpose flour then simmer for 10mins.
6. Turn off heat and pasta is done!
7. Heat up a pan with cooking oil. (make sure the oil is enough to cover half of the fish).
8. Add in the fish when the oil is hot. Fry for 2mins then shake the pan lightly to move the fish to prevent sticking.
9. Turn the fish over and continue to pan fry until it's fully cooked.
10. Remove and drain on paper towels. Shredder it before transferring to the serving plate.
11. Garnish with anchovies powder before serving.

💖 Salmon fried rice with Japanese curry 💖

Ingredients and instructions:
1. In a wok, add in 2 tablespoon of #ntuc cold pressed olive oil and stir fry the chopped garlic and onion. Fry until it turns golden brown and add in the steamed rice. Do a few quick stirs.
2. Add in 2 tablespoon of water and give it a quick toss.
3. Add in a handful of sliced mushroom, chopped tomatoes and marinated salmon.
4. Add in 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce and continue stir until it combined well.
Fried rice dOnE!
5. Steam the potatoes for 8-10 mins. (I'm using gingerbread cutter)
6. Cook 2 tablespoons of Japanese curry sauce and 1 teaspoon of tomato sauce in medium heat.
7. Add in the sliced chicken and the potatoes when the curry is boiled. Simmer for about 3 mins or until it's cooked. .
8. Garnish with chopped spring onions before serve.

It's weekend again! Need to have something simple and quick because we are going out soon.
So.. This is my easiest, healthy and budget friendly chow mein for Gwen.
Ingredients and instructions:
1. In a wok, add in 2 tablespoon of #ntuc cold pressed olive oil and stir fry the chopped garlic and onion. Fry until it turn golden brown and add in the noodles. Do a few quick stirs.
2. Add 1/4 cup of water and give it a quick toss.
3. Add in a handful of sliced baby cabbage, sliced carrots and mushrooms.
4. Add a pinch of salt
and continue stir until it combined well.
Chow mein dOnE!
5. Marinated the fish with ginger sauce and mixed herbs for 20mins.
6. Pan fry for about 10mins or until it's cooked. .
7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and sesame seed before serve.

💝 Steamed Cod fish ‖ 清蒸鳕鱼
💝 Stir fried broccoli ‖ 香炒西兰花

I hardly get cod fish for Gwen because it's very pricey. Hahaha!! Since she has been eating Salmon, threadfin for quite sometime, I guess she might be bored with it. So, OK.. Let's try Cod fish today! I would say, definitely worth every single penny because the meat is so tender and the uses of only few ingredients to steam the fish helps bring out the sweetness of it. And steaming preserves nutrients to the utmost extent! .

Below are the Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Cook 200ml of water with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, carrots and pork loin in a medium sized pot. Cover the pot, simmer until the pork is tender, potatoes is fluffy and soft. It takes about 45mins.
2. Blanch the broccoli, carrots and mushrooms until it's half cooked.
3. Hit up a little bit of olive oil in a wok. Add in the chopped garlic and do a quick stir until it turns golden colour. Add in all the ingredients and stir fry for about 3 mins. Add in a pinch of salt and a little bit of water. Do a few quick stir before serve.
4. Marinate the fish with sesame oil and a little bit of salt. Set aside.
5. Bring water in the steamer/wok to a boil on high heat and place the fish to steam for 7 minutes. Sprinkle some sliced ginger and tomatoes on top before steam. Add the fried ginger strips once it's done!
6. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve! .

💖 Pork Chop in tomatoes gravy 💖 .
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Season the boneless pork chops with black pepper, garlic powder, ginger sauce, a bit of salt and honey for at least an hour. Set aside.
2. Pan fry the pork chop in oil until it turns golden brown or completely cooked (about 10mins.)
** I love to add a little bit of water when pan frying so that the meat is more juicy and tender.
3. Heat up 2 tablespoon of organic coconut oil; add in the tomatoes, chopped mushrooms and eggplants. Stirring occasionally, until all the ingredients are soft.
4. Add in 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce and 3 tablespoons of water and simmer for another 5 mins.
5. Sprinkle a little bit of anchovies powder and sesame seeds on the pork chops.

Months ago i bought this mystery fabric on sale from a local store. It feels like linen but very flowy and drapey. Originally i sew it into a simple boxy top but it looked limp and drab. Nearly threw it out.
I found it yesterday and decided to breathe new life into it by turning it into a #kabukitee by @paper_theory .
This fabric frays and stretches out easily and my neckline turned into a boat neck😥 and had to stabilize it using a stiff stripey cotton bias facing. But i love the selvedge and i used that for my sleeves.
Using the #kabukitee pattern gave this really difficult fabric a bit more structure especially the sleeves and i love this top now.
So happy a fail turned into a win!! ❤

[Blueberries butter cake]
Managed to bake this because my sweetie pie sleep at 8pm.
Arr Arrh, her breakfast settled!!
Ingredients and instructions:
1. Preheat oven at 180°c
2. Lightly grease the pan with some butter.
3. Mix 225gm of room temperature unsalted butter with 150gm fine sugar by electronic mixer for about 5mins.
4. Add in 4 eggs (1 by 1). Continue to mix until it turns creamy just like whipping cream.
5. Add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and fold in 180gm cake flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. (To prevent the flour to become lumpy, it's advisable to sieve the flour)
6. Add 15ml of fresh milk and mix well.
7. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake at 170°c for about 45mins or become slightly brown and set firmly.
Done and ready to serve!

Steaming is one of simplest cooking method where you can steam almost all kinds of food. Its not only can retain the nutrients, but also cook the food fast and easy!
Let's take a look how I prepared Gwen's lunch in 30mins time.
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Marinate threadfin with ginger sauce and steam for 5-8mins. (the threadfin is pretty small piece, about 40gm)
2. Garnish with spring onions, sliced ginger and chopped tomatoes.
Fish dOne!
3. Soak the snow fungus in a bowl of hot water until it is puffed up and turn a whiter shade. Cut it into small pieces. Set aside.
4. Cut the chicken fillet into small piece. Marinate with chinese cooking wine, sesame oil and pepper.

💖 Stir fried spinach with mushrooms || 菠菜炒杏鲍菇.
💖 Stir fried teriyaki beef || 香炒日式照烧牛肉.
💖 Old cucumber soup || 老黄瓜汤.

Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Bring to boil 150ml of pork broth. Turn into medium heat, add in 50gm of old cucumber and 20gm of carrots. Turn into low heat and continue to cook for about 30 mins or the old cucumber is soft and cooked.
2. Marinate the sliced beef with black pepper and garlic powder. Set aside.
3. Add a little bit of the #ntuc brand olive oil and chopped garlic in a pan. Fry the beef until half cooked, add in the chopped tomatoes and do a few quick stirs before adding the teriyaki sauce. Add a little bit of water and continue to stir-fry until the beef slices are completely cooked.
4. Stir fry the spinach and mushrooms with chopped garlic for about 5 mins.
5. Sprinkle a little bit of anchovies powder on the steamed rice.
6. Transfer everything to my bento box and ready to go out!

Burger without bread? Yes, it's possible! Let's swapping the high-calorie bread buns with eggplants!
Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Puree 30ml of steamed pumpkin with 100ml of pork broth. Bring to boil and turn it to low heat, simmer for about 15mins. Top a pinch of black pepper powder before serve.
SOUP dOnE!
2. Get ready 4 slices of eggplants, 2 slices of capsicums, tomatoes and cheddar cheese, few slices of Shitake mushrooms. Marinate 2 pieces of salmon with mixed herbs. (for the portion of 2)
3. Brush both side of eggplants with #ntuc Fair price brand Cold pressed olive oil.
4. Layer the burger with a piece of eggplant, continue with a slice of tomato, capsicum, mushroom, salmon, cheddar cheese and top with another slice of eggplant.
5. Oven bake for 15mins with 230°c and sprinkle spring onions before serve.
6. Cut the pumpkin (slightly thicker) slices and bake together with the eggplants.
7. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve!

💖 Stir fried mushrooms with you mak vegetables ‖ 香炒油菜.
💖 Pan fried crispy white pomfret ‖ 香煎白鲳鱼.
💖 Luffa soup ‖ 丝瓜汤.

Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Fill half full of water (about 2 bowls) in a medium bowl. Bring to a boil. Turn into medium heat, add in 20gm carrots, 30gm luffa, 30gm of pork loin and a handful of goji berries. Turn into low heat and continue to cook for about 10mins. Add in the whisked egg into the soup. Boil for another 2 mins or until the egg is fully cooked. Turn off heat.
SOUP dOnE!
2. Diagonal criss-cross cuts across the pomfret for about 1-inch apart to form a diamond shape. Pat dry the fish and coat it with a layer of corn starch. Set aside.
3. Hit oil in a wok. Placed the fish to fry over the high heat until it's fully cooked.
FisH dOne!!.
4. Hit up a little bit of olive oil in a wok. Add in the chopped garlic and do a quick stir until it turns golden colour. Add in the mushrooms and stir fry for about 2mins. Add in the vegetables and continue to cook for another 2mins. Add in a pinch of salt and do a few quick stir before serve.
5. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve! .

Ingredients and instructions :
1. Cook the porridge and pumpkin with vegetables stock.
2. Add a sliced smash ginger into the porridge.
3. Meanwhile, marinate the minced meat and sliced fish with sesame oil, a pinch of salt and ginger sauce for 20mins.
4. Add the minced meat into the porridge. Continue to cook for another 5mins.
5. Add in the sliced fish. Stir to get everything well mixed. Let porridge come back up to a boil and allow it to cook for another 3mins.
6.Turn off heat and sprinkle anchovies powder and spring onion before serve.
It's a light and tasty comfort food like non others. Yummms!

💖 Broccoli pesto pasta served with pan-fried threadfin 💖

Gwen doesn't like to eat steamed broccoli. She will either spit out whenever I feed her or just throw on the floor if she is on BLW. Therefore, I have to think the recipes that I able to blend it into or something that she unable to pick n throw. Just like what I cooked today. Guess what, she finished the whole plate of the pasta!
Ingredients and instructions:
1. Place 30gm of pasta into a large pan of boiling water and cook according to pack instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Meanwhile, bring a smaller pan of water to the boil. Add 20gm of broccoli florets and boil for 3 minutes. Drain the broccoli.
3. Add a teaspoon of olive oil into the broccoli and blend until it's smooth. Add in the finely grate garlic and zested lemon. Mix well and set aside.
4. Hit the wok with a tablespoon of #ntuc cold pressed olive oil and stir fry the cubed capsicums, mushrooms and carrots. Add in the pasta and stir until it combined well.
5. Add in the broccoli pesto and do a few quick stir before serve.
Pasta dOnE!
6. Marinated the fish with ginger sauce, turmeric and mixed herbs for 20mins.
7. Pan fry for about 10mins or until it's cooked. .

1. Fill half full of water (about 2 bowls) in a medium bowl. Bring to a boil. Turn into medium heat, add in 50gm carrots, 100gm butternut squash, 50gm of pork loin, a handful of goji berries and red dates. Turn into low heat and continue to cook for about an hour.
SOUP dOnE!
2. Cut the fish into pieces. Marinate it with sesame oil and ginger sauce for 20mins. Slice the ginger and cut the scallions about 2cm length. Set aside.
3. Hit oil in a wok. Add in the sliced ginger and cook until aromatic. Add in the fish and stir few times. Add a bit of water and continue to stir fry. Add in the chopped scallions and do a final few stir before serve.
FisH dOne!!.
4. Steam the eggplants until half cooked.
5. Hit up a little bit of olive oil in a wok. Add in the chopped garlic and do a quick stir until it turns golden colour. Add in the chopped capsicums and shimeji mushrooms. Continue to cook for about 2mins. Add in the eggplants and do a few quick stir before serve.
6. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve!

Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of water and blanch 80gm of pork ribs to remove the dirt from the bones. Set aside.
2. In another pot, fill half full of water (about 2 bowls) Bring to a boil. Turn into medium heat, add in 50gm carrots, 150gm radish and the pork ribs. Turn into low heat and continue to cook for about an hour.
SOUP dOnE!
3. Crack an egg in a small bowl and beat until a pale yellow colour.
4. Add a little bit of olive oil in a non-stick pan. Pour the eggs to the frying pan and cook over the medium heat for about 1min. Add a pinch of pepper before serve.
Scrambled eggs dOnE!
5. Hit oil in a wok. Add in the minced garlic and cook until it turns light brown. Add in the kai lan, carrots, mushrooms with minced meat. Stirring few times before serve. (about 5 mins) Do not over cook the vegetables or they’ll lose their crunch!!.
6. Transfer everything to a serving platter and serve!

💖 Fish and papaya soup with steamed rice 💖
This neutral soup is extremely rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. And it's ideally for babies and children.
The soup was yumms! MIL was full of praise with this soup. Hahaha!! .
Ingredients and methods:
1. Cut the papaya into half. Remove the seeds and scoop out 2/3 of the flesh to make it like a bowl.
2. Sliced the fish and marinate with sesame oil. Set aside.
3. Boil a pot of water and blanch the pork ribs to remove the dirt from the bones.
4. Put the pork ribs and a slice of ginger into the 1L of water and bring to a boil.
5. Add the papaya, red dates, goji berries into the pot. Reduce heat and simmer for 30mins.
6. Transfer the soup into the papaya and continue to steam in the slow cooker for another 15mins.
7. Add in the fish and steam for another 15mins..
8. Sprinkle a bit pepper before serve. .
[Tips]
1. I'm using threadfin for this recipe. Alternative will be snapper, seabass, pomfret or cod.
2. For breastfeeding mummy, it's advised to use the green papaya to boost the milk supply.

You can make these easy biscuits by using 4 ingredients..
🌼 20gm of egg yolk / mashed pumpkin / sweet potatoes / beetroot.
🌼15gm of full cream milk powder.
🌼10gm of icing sugar.
🌼120gm of potato starch
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients.
2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth.
3. Roll a small piece of dough into ball.
4. Arrange the biscuits on a baking tray lined with baking parchment paper. 
5. Bake at 180°c for 12-15mins.

2. For the threadfin, drizzle 1 teaspoon of sesame oil on top of the fish. Top the fish with cut ginger strips and sliced tomatoes. Steam for 10mins.
3. Stir fry the spinach and shimeji with minced garlic for about 5 mins.
4. Transfer everything to a serving platter and ready to serve!

Tada!!! My chaw mien! A simple yet healthy Chinese style fried noodles that everyone can make it at home!
Ingredients and instructions as below:
1. Boil the noodles. Rinse in cold water and drain well. (I use cintan brand instant flat noodles)
2. Mix 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and sesame oil, a pinch of sugar, salt and white pepper powder. Set aside.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of oil into the wok and follow by the chopped garlic into the wok and do a quick stir over the high flame.
4. Add the mushrooms and Chinese sausage stir fry until the ingredients are half cooked then add in the vegetables. Stir well then add in the noodles. Toss them well, breaking up the noodles so they’re not all in one big clump. 
5. Add in the sauce mixture and do a few final stirs.
6. Dish out and serve hot.

Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Fill a medium pot half full of water. Bring to a boil. Turn into medium heat, add in the carrots, red dates, goji berries and pork loin. Simmer until the pork is tender. It takes about 15mins. Add in the luffa. Turn into low heat and continue to cook for about 10mins.
2. For the salmon, marinate it with ginger sauce and sesame oil for 20mins. Pan fry until it's fully cooked.
For the tomato sauce, cook the tomato puree, capsicums and cubed tomatoes for 5-8 mins. Pour gravy on the fish and sprinkle with spring onions.
3. Stir fry the bak choy, baby corn, sliced mushroom, carrots and minced meat with minced garlic for about 10mins.
4. Transfer everything to a serving platter and ready to serve!

💖 Mee hoon with ABC soup

ABC soup is one of my family's favourite soup. Its usually cooked with potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, si chuan pickles and pork ribs. This is easily one of the soup that I cook most often at home as the ingredients are almost always available in my kitchen. It's also a good choice for those who are on diet because no oil or cream is used and it is low in fat!
Below are the Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Cook the potatoes, onions, tomatoes and carrots with pork rib as the soup base. Cover the pot, simmer until the pork is tender, potatoes is fluffy and soft. It takes about 45mins. Remove the pork ribs and add in the Mee hoon. Continue to cook for about 15mins.
2. For the Salmon, marinate it with ginger sauce, mixed herbs and sesame oil for 20mins. Pan fry until it's fully cooked.
3. Stir fry the broccoli & shimeji mushroom with minced garlic for about 5 mins.

💖 Organic pumpkin noodles with winter melon soup

I find winter melon soup is extremely nourishing and good in reduce heat, which is suitable for Gwen. Winter melon has a very mild taste, unless you add in extra ingredients such as carrot, dry cuttlefish to make it into a flavorful soup. Below are the Ingredients & Instructions:
1. Cook the winter melon with pork rib as the soup base. I have added barley, carrot, goji berries and red dates to make the soup flavorful. Cover the pot, simmer until the pork is tender and the winter melon becomes translucent, about 45mins to an hour. Remove the pork ribs and add in the pumpkin noodles. Continue to cook for about 10mins. Noodles and the soup is done!
2. For the threadfin, marinate it with ginger sauce, mixed herbs and sesame oil for 20mins. Pan fry until it's fully cooked.
3. Stir fry the cauliflower & capsicums with minced garlic for about 5 mins.
4. Transfer everything to a serving platter and lunch is ready to serve!
