Alright, so it's day 23 right? Right. And I was super excited to practice once I got home from work. I rolled out my mat, sat down to begin and I was instantly.... annoyed. My mind said let's move, let's strengthen, let's sweat... but my body said the complete opposite. But I start moving and twisting and bending and sweating anyway. It's not working for me at all. This goes on for about 25 minutes.
Then I stop and listen. I slow down. And for the next 25 I took it nice and easy, breathing into all the spaces that need it. Post practice I feel calm and a little proud for respecting my body. Start getting ready to go meet with an old friend and as I'm getting ready I take a little break for a snack. Anyone else like to take snack breaks when they're getting ready?? Then I proceeded to drop basically an entire bowl of salsa all over the kitchen floor. Fuck! I was just calm and centered. Now I'm annoyed. Again. And on my hands and knees cleaning up salsa. I hear a little chuckle from the living room and Tarrel comes to help me, I'm grateful for his laugh because it reminded me to laugh and because life is too short to cry over spilled salsa. 😂 #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirlchallenge #selflove #ustrasana #openheart #letthelightin
