I used to dread them...
I always wanted the weekend to be longer...
It felt like Monday night couldn’t come fast enough so that I was one day closer to the weekend again...
But just recently I realized I don’t dread them anymore...(I’m sure in part because I now have full control over my schedule #selfemployedlife )...
Here’s what I think has made the difference:
✅ Sucking it up and going to bed early on Sunday nights instead of trying to squeeze out every last bit of weekend and then starting the week tired 💤
✅ Starting work early on Monday’s so that I maximize my Monday evening free time
✅ Starting the day with a short meditation and some deep breaths outdoors
✅ Planning a workout/movement class for Monday after work so I can start the week out strong, pumped and don’t feel guilty about skipping a Monday morning workout to start work early
✅ Planning an evening of relaxation - tea + a good book, Netflix + popcorn or the Bachelor + wine, so I intentionally set aside time for myself and have something to look forward to when I wake up on Monday mornings
