#mileadaychallenge Day 48 and Day 49! When I was out running yesterday I was thinking about how I choose to “relax.” Some people have some drinks 🍸 🍻 while others chill and watch 📺... but I relax by running massive amounts of miles 🏃🏽. People probably don’t associate running 6 miles with “relaxing” but for me it is truly therapeutic. Yesterday’s mix tape was a Neo-Soul mix and had a LOT of good songs to choose from (shouts to @djjscratch), but I went with #goapele and Closer. The lyrics hit home “gettin closer to my dreams” which is true. Running dreams, hubby dreams, daddy dreams, career dreams... I’m getting higher and CLOSER to MY dreams, everyday.
Today I ran with the #aegtriteam and another great song came on... #common feat. #dangelo So Far to Go. Yea, I am getting closer, but there is still so far to go. I learned a few years ago that setting small goals didn’t really help motivate me. I’d reach them and feel like I had more to give. This is when I started setting crazy ambitious goals... goals I’d have to WORK to reach. Marathon goals. 100 days in a row goals. Lofty goals in all areas of life.
