Okay ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2017 CrossFit Games Open.
If you have not signed up yet??? Why not? There is still a couple days to Register. Support the gym, Test your self, it's a test of "your" fitness...it's you vs you...no one else...and most of all it's fun and your gonna do the workouts anyway :). Here is roughly how the next 5 weeks will work:
EveryFriday, CrossFit Madera will host the workout throughout the day at the regular class times. All classes will have a chance to do the workout. However, at 6pm on Fridays each Friday we Will intergrade the 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm class to (6:00pm) . We will run heats and you will have a chance to be judged.
Whether you are participating in the Open or Not if you train on a Friday for those 5 weeks...your WOD will be that weeks "Open WOD". If there is a movement in that WOD that you cant do, or a weight that you cant lift ...simple you can of course "scale" it as necessary. "If your not registered in the open then we as a gym may modify the workout as necessary FOR YOU based on time and equipment issues / challenges as well". 👍So if you want to do the workouts as RX'd then you need to register for the open or you might get a modified version.😀 Everyone registered for the Open, will be using an "official scorecard", and will have that scorecard signed off by the head trainer running each class. That score card will then be turned in for our records. No Scorecard signed by your judge and lead trainer = NO SCORE!!! NOTE: If your not participating in the Open and you don't care about your score then simply don't use the score card, don't use a judge and just get your WOD ON 😊
NOTE: After you have completed the WOD "YOU" need to enter your scores on the CrossFit Games Site (where you registered) and then "WE" will validate your scores with HQ.
WE can NOT Validate your scores unless YOU enter them, WE don't have access to YOUR profile. Your scores MUST be entered by 4PM on Monday of each Following week to ensure we have enough time to validate your scores and so that you leave enough time for any issues with the CrossFit Games site.
