All these fancy new IG workouts are making the basics seem "out of date" but fancy isn't always functional- meaning it's not always better. When I notice I need an extra kick to burn fat around my stomach or I'm feeling sluggish for whatever reason life gave me, I do sprints. Aside from burning fat layers that hide your muscles, SPRINT TRAINING IS THE MOST EXPLOSIVE TRAINING YOU CAN DO. Sprinting causes immediate use of energy, so don't forget to give yourself proper rest time in between (I normally rest 45sec-1min between sprints) Added benefit: The short bursts are perfect for defining your glutes, hamstrings, & quads while building lean muscle mass!

If running isn't your thing you can still incorprate this interval style training by cycling, swimming, weight training, body weight training, running stairs, or even walking for beginners.
