Six pictures in this series. When we get fresh, raw, milk from the farm, Richard likes to get organic granola, which is delicious, but super pricey. This last time, I read the ingredients and knew I could make it better with what I already had on hand. So I soaked organic chia seeds and organic flax meal in organic apple juice for 30minutes, then added them to steel cut oats, along with some spices, pepitas,
Pecans, wild blueberries, and Bing cherries, and hemp seed, a little flax oil, and a little non-fruity coconut oil. I had to stop myself there, but I have tons of ideas for my next granola adventure. I let it soak for close to two hours, during which time Persia age a ramekin 's worth with delicious, raw, grass-fed milk and loved it. After the soak time, I spread out on Parchment conveyed drying racks and dehydrated in my #Excalibur dehydrator for about 20 hours on the living foods setting. I love making #rawfoods for my family. It is delicious and so much less expensive than $7 a bag granola and no waste for product packaging. I will store this in the glass jars, shown here, in the refrigerator. If it's not sweet enough for some folks, they can add organic maple syrup (grade b or the new brown grade A), or raw, localhoney. We recommend #texashoneybeeguild #txbeeguild honey.

Bananas 🍌 are full of vitamins and minerals, including potassium. Have you ever thought of the uses the banana peel may have? 📌The most popular use is to mix banana peels into your compost pile. They add potassium and phosphorus which help promote root development. (They are considered to be green material and too much can make your compost unbalanced) 📌You can also dry out the peels and grind them so they can be added to the soil in your garden. 📌 By placing a few pieces of banana peel under the soil may help deter aphids. (Putting to much may attract wasps or rodents) 📌Rub moist banana peels on bug bites, stings etc. as the fruit acids, Vitamins and minerals may help soothe the pain and itching.
