My guy is still rehabbing his shoulder after tearing his labrum during a basketball game.
The glenohumeral joint is most vunerable in abduction and external rotation, and so in addition to loading his thoracic spine to improve left rotation, we have begun to dynamically stabilize this shoulder complex while also workign endurance.
The following exercises were used in order to dynamically strengthen the shoulder complex.
top left: rotational lunge with same side UE rotational reach, utilzing Indian clubs to overload the shoulder into the horizontal abduction and external rotation, both which stress the GH joint.
Top right: indian clubs, working on quality of movement, and using the extension as a lever to again load the shoulder through dynamic movement, which also is great for endurance

Bottom Left: another, move advanced schoulder complex movement. it's progressed because of the added internal and external rotation.
Bottom Right turkish get up. This is one tough motion, and focuses on overall tension of the body while tying in the lower extremity and balance. It's become one of my go-to's for developing system wide strength.
ensuring that a rehab program focuses on the proper strength, endurance and motion that is actually interesting to the patient is important!
make sure to rule the tool, and not let the tool rule you.

Sitting on your SIT bones is basically a strict plank. It's initially very difficult because a lot of us are very mobile in the L5-sacrum area from sitting slouched.
The pelvis will follow the movement of the sacrum, so once you find your SIT bones, don't let your sacrum move- stay super tight in your TVA. Then you must get your rib cage aligned with your pelvis and try and get tall above the ribs.
It won't be easy, and it won't be visually appealing at first but it's very progressive and works very well. Use the mirror to see your spine line

This class there was a lot of talk about pulling the STRINGs...lengths from the posterior leg(hamstring area) up to the Pelvis and then lengths from the pelvis to beneath the neck(deep neck flexors) Work at the TRUNK to effect those STRINGs and find new LENGTH at the back leg and/or neck. Just isolating and working a specific area is not as expedient as connecting the chain and working the foundation while specifically working to LENGTHen the isolated area. #sensitivities #pillarprinciples #lengthforstrength
