Here's how to perform the ELDOA for L5-S1!

1️⃣ Start by bringing your SITS bones (butt bones) onto the wall!
2️⃣ Feet will be hips width apart and rotate your legs, so feet are pointing inwards!
3️⃣ Spread the toes and flex your foot down (so feet will be point in and down)
4️⃣ Tuck your chin and without lifting your head look between your thighs!
🕷I call this next part "Do the Spiderman!"
5️⃣ One arm at a time you're going to push your palms towards the ceiling!
6️⃣ Now, one arm at a time bring your arms overhead, so your biceps are by your ear (maintaining those spiderman fingers)

BENEFITS OF TENS MACHINES⠀

TENS can be used for relief of pain associated with a wide variety of painful conditions. Back pain caused by spine degeneration, disc problems, or failed back surgery is commonly relieved by the use of TENS. Nerve pain (neuropathy) from conditions such as chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) or diabetes may also be managed with TENS.⠀

TENS has been used for people suffering from cancer-related pain, phantom-limb pain (a chronic pain syndrome following limb amputation), and migraine or chronic tension-type headaches.⠀

TENS can also be used for muscle soreness from overuse, inflammatory conditions, and both rheumatoid and osteo-arthritis. Athletes with painful acute soft tissue injuries (e.g., sprains and strains) may benefit from TENS treatment.⠀

Sometimes TENS is used after surgery for incision or post-operative pain (e.g., joint replacement, cardiac procedures, various abdominal surgeries, or cesarean sections). Studies show that TENS can significantly reduce the use of analgesics (pain relievers, including narcotic drugs) after surgery.⠀

TENS is usually used along with other forms of treatment and pain control such as analgesics, relaxation therapy, biofeedback, visualization or guided imagery, physiotherapy, exercise, massage therapy, nerve block injections, and/or spinal manipulation.⠀

58-year-old man suffering from recurrent, non-healing, painful ulcers (sores) on left ankle for 4 years due to poor venous circulation. Because of this problem, he had to give up playing with his grandchildren. He was treated with Endovenous Laser Ablation @heartveinnyc_ . Right picture was taken 3 weeks after the procedure. Patient was very satisfied with how quickly the ulcer has healed and he can enjoy playing with his grandkids. There is no ulcer reported anymore.

Chronic venous insufficiency is a very common condition when the blood doesn’t travel from the leg up to heart properly. Blood can flow backward and pool in the legs. Although this condition is not life threatening, it can be life-limiting and a very painful condition.

Common symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency:. -Spider veins. - Varicose veins (dilated and engorged veins). - Leg and ankle swelling. - Leg pain, cramping, heaviness, tiredness and achiness that worsen upon standing or sitting, progresses toward the end of day. - Skin color change (red, brown or tanned), so called “venous stasis hyperpigmentation”. - Skin redness, itchiness and dryness, (venous stasis dermatitis or cellulitis). - Skin hardening like a wood (induration). - Sores (ulcers) mostly oozing, (venous stasis ulcer).
