Raising conscious kids means making intentional choices everyday. We live in a society that allows us to go day by day without a care in the world, if it doesn’t impact us directly it doesn’t matter. My babies aren’t just gonna wake up one day and give a shit. I have to show them why they need to care, why people matter, why caring for our environment is vital, why love and compassion triumphs everything. My babies have so much love because I️ make an exerted effort everyday to show them and teach them the reality of life. Sometimes that means them crying because they can’t believe how ugly humans can be, then filling them back up with so much love and hope that they know they can single handedly make an impact on our world even for just one person.
This week we try and make everyday about serving our community, our homeless neighbors, and relearning the truth about thanksgiving.
Taking the time to learn about the first inhabitants of our neighborhood, who they were, how they survived and the disgusting truth of what happened to them. I’m also having them do a mini project on what is happening with the oil spill from the keystone pipeline. Last year we were following the protest on NPR and they made a special donation of supplies to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
What are some things y’all do to raise conscious humans? 💡⬇️ Movement of the day in previous post! 💕
